Biennial Quilt Show
Every other year FIQ presents a wonderful Quilt Show with a wearable art Style Show and an annual Quilt Walk in concert with the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in April. The purpose of these venues is to share our talents and enjoy each other’s work.
The Quilt Show is about celebrating our different skill levels, appreciating the time and effort devoted to quilting, and the many ways we express our creativity in our wonderful quilts and wearable art garments. It is a time to get to know each other by working together on committees and learning from the many talented members of our very diverse group. It is not a competition, but a time to come together to share and to celebrate one another, The Quilt show is our primary fund raiser. The Wearable Arts Style Show is during the Quilt Show.
The theme of our Quilt Show changes yearly and the rules are adjusted as needed. The particulars, when finalized with specific dates and requirements, and entry forms, will be provided on the web, in the newsletter and during the regularly scheduled meetings. Plan some time in April to join in the fun of putting together these community events.
