My first sewing experience was stitching appliqués on ditty bags in Girl Scouts. My mother taught me to sew simple clothes for my dolls. In junior high school I had to take a sewing class for home ec and then began to sew clothes for school. I became interested in quilts in the late ‘70s…..for more about Lane click here or look under the About FIQ tab above for Member of the Quarter…..
Many, many thanks to Nancy Davis for chairing this year’s Quilt Show. Nancy has listed the winners here, located under the Programs tab above.

We have added the following new books to the Library:

Artful Applique II by Jane Townswick – New applique patterns and Jane’s “scraplique” method.
For latest library listings and info about new books added, look under the Resources tab above or just click here.
Card received from Anacortes Family Center: “Thank you, thank you for our recent donation of six quilts on 2-9-2010. They are beautiful and our residents so appreciate the “homey” feel they bring to the center and their units. Please visit our website at www.anacortesfamily.org to see pictures of your recent contribution. We appreciate your continued support.”
