Our Guild donates crib or lap-size quilts that are in turn given to the more than 300 children and moms a year, who pass through the Skagit County Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse Shelter in Mount Vernon. Click here to find out more.

Quilt Walk 2010

FIQ 27th Quilt Walk

The Fidalgo Island Quilters presents their 27th Quilt Walk in April 2010, sanctioned event of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.  See  traditional quilts, artistic quilts and stylish wearable art garments at merchants around Anacortes for the Quilt Walk.

Quilt Walk is an event held during the month of April in downtown Anacortes, sponsored by Fidalgo Island Quilters, as part of the annual Tulip Festival.  The quilt walk is advertised in all Tulip Festival brochures. The Quilt Guild members arrange with local businesses to display quilts made by FIQ members.  Visitors to the community view the quilts by following the tulip sign in the shop window.  The Quilt Walk attracts many quilt enthusiasts and tourists participating in Tulip Festival events.  The quilts are available for viewing at each business during normal hours of operation.  The quilts displayed are of a wide variety of styles and techniques and represent the interests of individual FIQ members.
