Quilting, sewing, fitting, embellishing, field trips, friendship and fun best describe the wearable art group. Techniques of all kinds are discussed and demonstrated. Programs focus on a wide variety of interests. The semi-annual FIQ Quilt Show includes a style show organized by the Divas.
All interested FIQ members are invited to join us for any or all of the meetings on the FOURTH Monday of the month at 9 AM, September-June.

Wearable Arts – Divas —Barbara Eades
Our lovely Spring-like weather beckons me out into the garden, camera in
hand, to find designs for printing and embroidery. Winter-into-Spring is an
excellent season to view the “bones” of bushes and trees and to capture
those pure, bright greens in foliage.
Our first order of business March 26 will be a presentation of the Style
Show line-up. Our remaining program will focus on patterns. Many Divas
expressed interest in the sewing patterns members used for their fleece
garments. We plan to talk about “simple” clothing, basic patterns, have
out-of-print patterns available for tracing, and discuss drafting patterns from
simple ready-to-wear.
We meet 10 AM to Noon in the Salvation Army Building, “R” Avenue and
30th, Anacortes. All members of FIQ are welcome to join us. Think lambs
and baby goats—where can you find more exuberance!
