Wonky One–Block Quilts by Marlous Carter

This book will show you how to make a traditional quilt, but with a WONKY twist.
In her book, Marlous gives you very easy to follow directions. Following her
method will add visual interest and movement to your quilt. All you need is
your 12-1/2 inch square ruler, no fancy templates or gadgets. She has given
helpful directions and colored pictures for eight different projects. Get those batiks
out of your stash, and try one of her patterns!

Patchwork Party by Sandy Bonsib
Sandy dedicated Patchwork Party to her website designer, who helped create 10 new quilt patterns for this book. They were inspired by the recipes in the book. The color combinations are quite unique. Sandy’s good illustrations and photos make it easy to follow the directions. Make a (or several) stunning quilts, and try a few of the recipes. The Pistachio Almond Cake quilt is gorgeous, and the recipe sounds pretty good, too!
Cherry Pantry by Mary Lou Designs
This is a small 10 page booklet that shows seven ways to use fabric featuring cherries. It includes wall hangings and table clothes, and more. Don’t miss the recipe for “Aunt Marvel’s Polka Dot Cherry Stuff”!

This book won 2nd place in the embellishment category at the 2010
International Houston Show. It takes crazy quilting to a new dimension
using Angelina fibers, machine quilting and the use of stencils, and
laser print transfers. It also shows the use of non-traditional methods

PRECUT QUILTS BY M’LISS RAE HAWLEY’S
Many of you are familiar with M’liss as she is a local quilter, author
and has been a speaker at NQC. This book shows you what to do
with those Jelly Rolls, Charm Packs, and Strip bundles you couldn’t
resist. Some fun projects for the next quilt retreat or quilt camp.

Easy Japanese Style by Julia Davis shows many ideas for purses, wall hangings and lap quilts using oriental types of fabric. The book has great ideas for using Japanese panels.
Flower Origami by Kumiko Sudo contains many ideas on making and uses for origami flowers. The book has beautiful pictures, good patterns and instructions.
Two for One Jelly Roll by Pam Lintott. She shows how to make two quilts out of one Jelly Roll with easy patterns and good techniques. Pam shows some unique ways of using Jelly Rolls.
Simple Style, Easy Weekend by Sara Dieperslott. The book has good basic patterns and techniques. She shows how to use a focus fabric, and how to deals colors, and texture. Patterns are easy to follow.
